Music is Benita’s life. But after a deeply stressful year of college classes and performances, she’s burned out and desperate for a summer-long break from performing–with an exception. She’s delighted to play her cello at the wedding of her best friends.
Logan spends his days as a paramedic, striving his best to serve people on what is often their worst day. And at night, he goes home to solitude and his guitar. When his paramedic partner asks him to be half of the music duo at her wedding, he is honored.
Benita is visibly shaken when she learns they’ll be playing duets, leaving Logan curious about what lies beneath her distress. But as they rehearse and perform, their connection grows into friendship. Soon they begin to wonder if, after the wedding, they’ll be willing for their duet to end.
Whispers in Duet is a companion novel in the Whisper Falls series that is set entirely in the 21st century. The two main characters, Benita and Logan, are in early adulthood.
